Beginning this year the celebration of World Youth Day in parishes will take place on the Solemnity of Christ the King. This year the Solemnity of Christ the King falls on November 21st, 2021. 

Pope Francis’ announced this change during his homily last year on the Solemnity of Christ the King.

This year His Holiness Pope Francis invites young people to stand up and be witnesses of what they have seen. The entire Church is invited to pray and celebrate our young people on this day and recognize their importance within our Church. His Holiness recently released a letter to young people in preparation for this day of prayer and celebration.

A Young Adult Celebration of Diocesan World Youth Day 2021

Join the young adults (18-35) of Hamilton Diocese as we gather together to celebrate the Diocesan Day of Prayer for Young People on the Feast of Christ the King.

  • When: Sunday, November 21, 6pm to 8pm
  • Where: St. Margaret Mary Parish – 20 Idlewood Ave, Hamilton
  • What: Evening Mass with reflection by Msgr. Murray Kroetsch, PH, VG

Christmas Mass Registration

Our parish team wants to make sure our parishioners are able to attend Mass at St. Francis this Christmas. With the increasing number of parishioners joining us at weekend Masses (yay! Welcome back!) we believe it is important to have registration for each Christmas Mass:

  Christmas Eve – Friday December 24

      4:30 pm (FULL),   7:00 pm,   9:00 pm

  Christmas Day – Saturday December 25

      10:00 am (FULL)

To make everything simpler at these Masses we will be giving you a “ticket” you will show at the door on Christmas. Please visit, call or email the parish office to reserve your seats and get your “tickets”.

Wholistic Restoration Series

Wholistic Restoration: A braided journey toward a more sustainable and reciprocal relationship with Mother Earth and each other.

Offered by the Ignatius Jesuit Centre in Guelph, this four-part series will be presented by both Indigenous and non-Indigenous practitioners in ecology, land-based education, and research. Together, we will strive to unpack our diverse worldviews, the process of learning, and understanding the connections between humanity and nature. The discussions will guide us through the journey of re-evaluating personal attitudes and assumptions, and the process of decolonizing how we come to know and what we perceive as valuable. The journey includes the process of decolonizing our knowledge and view of nature, reconciliation with all our relations, how to care for the ‘Land’, and opportunities and pathways to work together and give back.

This webinar series will be presented via Zoom from 6:30-8pm, with time for questions at the end of each session. To register, there is a suggested cost of $30 for one session, $100 for all four, or whatever you are able to contribute.

Deadline to register for all four sessions is November 22.
