About

Warm greetings and welcome to the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Website!

Our Mission Statement proclaims that: “We are a Christ-centred faith community seeking to be instruments of God’s Peace.”

Our Christ-centred faith community was established in 1959 by the members of the Congregation of the Resurrection who have administered the parish ever since. They have brought the central Christian charism of the Paschal Mystery, i.e., dying to ourselves and rising with the Risen Christ, to our Parish Community. Visit our History page for more information!

In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi we commit ourselves to be instruments of God’s Peace not only amongst ourselves but with the whole of God’s creation! We do this with one another, and we reach out locally and globally to our sisters and brothers in need. Our concern to be instruments of God’s peace also commits us to be good stewards though our ecological responsibility.

Our parishioners say that we are an open and welcoming parish where there are many opportunities to be involved and to make a difference. Visit our Ministries page or contact us to learn more about involvement in our dynamic parish community.
