Our Children’s Liturgy Leaders have been working hard behind the scenes to develop new ways to minister to our children while we are still unable to offer this ministry in person. We aren’t letting the pandemic keep us from sharing God’s Word with our young parishioners!
If you have children between the ages of 3 and 8, we invite you to consider signing up for any or all of these three initiatives:
- Seasonal Material Porch Drops
We are gathering some great activity packages for the seasons of Advent, Lent and Easter, and we would love to drop these off on your front porch! You can then pick the best time to work through the material with your children. Packages will include scripture readings, activity booklets and more. - Monthly Zoom Children’s Liturgy
Once a month, starting in November, we invite you and your children to join us online for an interactive Children’s Liturgy session. We will read the Gospel, talk with the children about it and perhaps even do an activity! This will be offered using the Zoom platform and will be open only to those who register, it will not be open to the public. Each Zoom Children’s Liturgy will be on Sunday at 10:30 am and will last about 20 minutes. We are planning for Nov. 22 and Dec. 20 to start with, but we will confirm dates and send the meeting links to those who sign up for this initiative. - Bi-weekly Check In emails
We miss seeing our Children’s Liturgy kids and talking to them each week! So our leaders are offering to check in through email every couple of weeks. We would address the email to the children, but send it to you parents to share with them. These will simply be to say hi, maybe offer a prayer, something very simple.
If you are interested in registering for any of these initiatives please fill out the registration form you can find here.
If you are registering for the Zoom Children’s Liturgy please also fill out the Diocesan Permission Form you can find here.
Please return your registration form(s) to the parish office by November 1st
so we can order materials and get them to you in time for Advent.
You can email them to stfranciskitchener@hamiltondiocese.com
or drop them through the office mail slot.
