Christmas Family Time

The Christmas holy-days are a time to celebrate Jesus’ birth into the human family by spending time with our own families. If you have a few more days together with your family and are running out of ideas for things to keep the kids occupied, consider doing something simple and/or nature- based that doesn’t create any more material trash or use extra natural resources. Although it’s cold, go for a walk together outside, play cards or board games in the candlelight as a family, or sit around the table in your pajamas and make art while you create thank you cards for Christmas gifts. If there were people you wanted to send Christmas cards to but you didn’t get to it, you can take the time to write to them today to let them know they are on your heart.

Year of Amoris Laetitia Family

Hamilton Diocesan Speaker Series –

The kick off to the Diocesan speaker series for the Year of Amoris Laetitia will be in January, with a special three part presentation by Bishop Lobsinger, with input from the Pastoral Offices staff. The evening sessions will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Jan. 12th, 19th and 26th, and will unpack the great wisdom in Amoris Laetitia: The Joy of Love in Families and Church. The presentations, by zoom, are meant to engage all members of the Diocese in looking at both the challenges and blessings of families in the world today. Click on the picture below for more information about both the year and the Diocesan Speaker Series. Online registration will be necessary to receive the link, where you can join in by phone or internet.
