Yesterday we celebrated the Feast of the Holy Family. Jesus, Mary and Joseph are an example to us of what a family can and should be, people living for each other in love. We all know this is a high ideal to reach for, and in everyone’s family there are days when we do not live for each other, days when we may not even feel love for each other. But that does not mean we give up. The Holy Family is not just an example, they are with us still today to support us in our families. Pray that Mary and Joseph may intercede for us, pray that Jesus may show us how to love each member of our families, even in times of trial.
Pope Francis speaks about family a lot in Amoris Laetitia, and the Vatican continues to create videos on his themes for this Year of the Family Amoris Laetitia. Below is a video encouraging us not to give up on our families when things get difficult, but to lean on God and ask Him to teach us forgiveness, faith and hope in our families.
