Prayers for our Planet – COP26

The 2021 UN Climate Change Conference, COP26 will be held in Glasgow, Scotland from October 31 to November 12.  We’ll be seeing a lot about this important meeting in the news over the next few weeks.

Pope Francis gathered scientists and faith leaders on October 4, the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, in advance of the conference.  You can see the report and watch video of the conference here. 

The St. Francis of Assisi Laudato Si Environmental Team invites you to participate spiritually in the conference in a couple ways: 

  • There is an online prayer service, Lament for the Earth on Thursday evening, October 28, using Zoom. If interested please click the link above to register.
