60th Anniversary Prayer

This was certainly not the way we planned to be celebrating our 60th Anniversary year as a parish, but although we cannot gather in person right now, we are still a parish family. Fr. Tim and Fr. Raph continue to celebrate Mass for the intentions of all our parishioners, and many of us join them spiritually by praying at 11am on weekdays and 11:30am on Sundays. We invite you to consider adding our 60th Anniversary Prayer to your prayers. St. Francis of Assisi Parish has been a vibrant faith community for 60 years, and we will continue to support each other for many years more.

60th Anniversary Prayer

Loving God,
with great joy we celebrate your many blessings
and graces.
For sixty years you have nourished and fed us;
you have celebrated with us new life in baptism
and new life through the Resurrection;
you have fed us with your Word and Sacrament;
you have formed us by the example of
Saint Francis of Assisi.

Loving God, make us instruments of your peace
so that we may model:
love rather than hatred,
pardon rather than injury,
faith rather than doubt,
hope rather than despair,
joy in place of sadness.

May our parish community remain a place of welcome and
hospitality to the strangers in our midst.
May we always cherish the memory of our parish ancestors
whose faith and love over 60 years
has formed this parish community.
May we move forward as a parish community
dedicated to the example of Saint Francis of Assisi
and inspired by our Risen Lord and Saviour.
This we pray, this we seek, through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
