Join members of the St. Francis Laudato Si’ Environmental Team as they lead us in praying the Way of Beauty, Stations of Creation on this Friday in Lent. This non-traditional version of the stations was created by Fr. Gilbert Choondal, SDB, of Calcutta, India and is used with permission.
If you are looking for something to fast from this Lent, why not set yourself the challenge of fasting from buying anything new (except groceries and essential toiletries)? For six weeks vow to buy things second-hand, borrow, barter, trade, or do without. You may just discover that some things you thought were essential are not essential after all. You could also discover new channels for second-hand resources such as Freecycle or “Buy Nothing New” groups in your area that are committed to reducing the waste stream. Check out Facebook’s Marketplace or Buy & Sell groups. Try Kijiji Kitchener-Waterloo!
Seeking greater understanding and desiring deeper solidarity with the First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.
We are so happy to be able to offer a Lenten Series again this year, and we are very grateful to be able to welcome Tammy Webster to guide us on our journey together.
