Today our pilgrims have a full day to explore the Vatican! Early this morning they had
a private Mass in a chapel of St. Peter’s Basilica, followed by free time to explore the church.
Later today they visited the Vatican Museum, which began as a group of sculptures collected by Pope Julius II (1503-1513), and which now includes 29 museums and galleries. You can learn more about the museums and current exhibits here.
Part of the museum, and always an important stop is the Sistine Chapel. To learn about this amazing room visit this site.
